The short version
- The calculators run in your browser. We don't ask for your name, email or any personal details to show you a result.
- We may use analytics to see how the site is used, and we may show ads from Google. Both can use cookies, and where the law requires it, they only load after you agree.
- We don't sell your personal information in exchange for money.
Information we collect
Information you give us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to fix the issue you raised, and we don't add you to a mailing list.
Calculator inputs
Numbers you type into a calculator stay in your browser. They are not sent to our servers. If you use the Share link button, your inputs (for example, guest count) are added to the page address so the link reproduces your result. Share links never contain your name or contact details.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to keep the site secure and running. If analytics is turned on, it collects similar usage data, described below.
Browser storage
We store your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them only for analytics and advertising, as described below, and only in line with your consent choices where consent is required. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and calculators are useful, for example how often people press Calculate, copy a result or download a PDF. These events don't include the numbers you entered. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes data such as your IP address and device information. Advertising
We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other sites.

Ads are always labeled and are never placed inside or next to the calculator inputs.
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we use a consent tool that meets Google's requirements. Analytics and advertising cookies only load according to the choices you make there, and you can change your choice at any time with the Privacy choices link at the bottom of every page.
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, our legal bases are your consent (for analytics and advertising cookies) and our legitimate interests (for keeping the site secure and replying to your emails). You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Your US state privacy rights
If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to ask us to delete or correct it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. Ad and analytics cookies can count as sharing under some of these laws. You can opt out by declining advertising cookies in our consent tool, using Google Ad Settings, or turning on a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we treat as an opt-out request where the law requires it. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Children
This site is meant for adults planning events. It is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
How long we keep information
We keep emails only as long as we need them to answer you and keep a record of corrections. Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting in our analytics account.

Our pages link to sources and other websites. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
